How to Make Soft Pretzels

Do you like pretzels?

I don’t mean those crunchy things that come in a bag.

I mean those soft, doughy, chewy, brown, warm, salty, bready treats that you get at ballgames or at the mall.


On Thursday I’m going to show you how to make them. You’ll find out that these soft pretzels are super-easy and way more fun to make than standing in line at the mall.

But I’ll warn you now that there are a few steps involved. First you shape them (find out how on Thursday), then you give them a baking soda and water bath (find out why on Thursday), then you brush them with egg and dust them with salt (find out how much on Thursday) and finally you bake them until they’re the color of a cinnamon stick (find out how long on Thursday).
