Stonyfield Blends and Blendtec Blender Giveaway!
Today is the start of my Stonyfield Blends and Blendtec Blender Giveaway. Read on to find out how you can win some crazy-good yogurt and a crazy-good blender.
A couple of weeks ago I had some friends over who were visiting from Toronto. We were chatting and sipping on White Wine Spritzers when the doorbell rang. I looked through the window at the front step and saw a delivery man with a large box. I said, “That must be my yogurt delivery!” My friend V was like, “Who has yogurt delivered to their house by UPS?” Well…ummm…me!
It’s times like this that I LOVE being a food blogger.
You see, I’m participating in this cool giveaway that Stonyfield is doing to celebrate All Things Blends. They sent me a box of their not-yet-on-the-shelves Stonyfield Blends to try out and tell you about. They also had Blendtec send me a blender, because, well, it blends. And so, we’re celebrating it! The best part of all this is that I get to tell you about these all-blend things AND, even better, I get to give you the chance to win your own box of Stonyfield Blends AND this amazing Blendtec Wildside Total Blender Classic (value $454.95).
So let me tell you about the Stonyfield Blends yogurt. It’s amazing. Of course it is! Everything Stonyfield does is amazing so that’s hardly surprising. It’s a non-fat organic yogurt blended with flavors like blueberry, vanilla, strawberry banana, peach mango and, my favorite, blackberry. Everything in Blends is organic.
The best thing about Stonyfield Blends though is that you would never know that it’s non-fat. This yogurt is sooooo creamy. Totally delicious.
And I’m not just saying that because they gave me some for free. See, I don’t usually eat yogurt straight-up. I cook with it and I give it to my kids as a snack. But I don’t usually just eat a container of it. But the Blends? I’ve eaten that whole box myself. Really. (Hey, don’t judge. I had to deprive my kids and eat it myself because, well, it was research. I’m supposed to tell you about it so I had to eat it. Eating it had NOTHING to do with me wanting to keep all that creamy goodness to myself. Nothing AT ALL. I swear).
And then there’s the blender. To be honest, I wasn’t that excited about it at first. I was like, “A blender’s a blender.” I was wrong. This thing is miraculous. As a first test I put some ice in there and gave it a whiz. It turned it into snow (Really! Snow! And I’m Canadian so when I say “snow” you know that I know what I’m talking about) in under a minute.
After making the snow I discovered that this blender can even heat things up. (Not the snow. You don’t want your snow to melt and turn into water. If you wanted water you’d just go to the tap). When you hit the Soup button, it whizzes your ingredients around AND warms them up at the same time.
Very cool. I made a sauce for pasta in under 5 minutes: 1 can of tomatoes, some salt, pepper, a glug of olive oil, two big handlfuls of parsley and a clove of garlic – straight into the blender. It shook around and made noise for 90 seconds and then there was sauce. Warm sauce that I tossed with elbow macaroni. It was an instant hit. The Hubs was like, “You pushed that? And it made this?” Crazy, right?
So I’m sold. All Things Blends is worth celebrating. And I really want you to experience it too. So go on and do all the things that the rafflecopter below tells you to do so that you can enter lots of times. And good luck! (I already can’t wait to find out who wins so that we can chat and compare notes about All Things Blends).
Note that this giveaway is open to U.S. residents only. Canadians, I feel your pain. I’ve been there, remember? (By “been there” I don’t mean that I once traveled there, I mean that I’m from there and I know that it sucks when contests aren’t open to us). If you’re Canadian and you comment below telling me that You Are Canadian (no need to go off on a Molson’s beer themed “I am Canadian” spiel but know that I’ll love you forever if you do) and telling me your favorite thing to blend, I’ll enter you in a separate Canadians-only contest to win a special Stonyfield Organic Yogurt Cookbook. Why? Because, remember, I feel your pain. And because I’m Canadian and so I’m kind of overly nice.
Here’s the Rafflecopter. The more things you do, the more chances you have to enter (unless you’re Canadian. Then just comment below as described above. Just once. If you want to also follow me on Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter and sign up for my newsletter, that would be cool. But you don’t have to. You’d just be being a nice Canadian. And I’d love you for it).

Did you announce a winner? I guess it’s not me (sniff).
Oh yeah, I did. On Facebook a while back. I forgot to have the rafflecopter put the name on. I’ll do that later today. Thanks for entering though, Jean. And note that I have another giveaway starting today. It’s not a bit pricey blender but it is a nice little Macy’s gift card. Good luck!
I followed your blog! Thanks!!

I’ve been wondering about Blendtec blenders – I’ve been in the market for awhile and just been too wishy washy to commit to one!

I totally love mine and I’m not just saying that because they gave me one. I get excited just thinking about what to make in it next. Seriously. I also worry how I will continue to be a good food blogger if every recipe I make for my family involves a blender that not everyone owns. I can’t exactly only post Blendtec-required recipes, now can I? lol.

Avocado chocolate pudding, banana smoothie, fresh pasta sauce….
Vicki, These are some of my favorites too. Except for the avocado chocolate pudding. That sounds weird. Is it seriously amazing? DO you have a link to a recipe so I can try it out. The organic produce box that we get every two weeks often has a lot of avocados in it. Two members of my family don’t like them so I find it challenging to get them all eaten. But if I could hide them in chocolate pudding, we might have a solution! Thanks!
My blender is slowly dying. It would be great to have a heavy duty smoothie maker!
You know I follow you on pinterest :)

I’m not even sure how to comment here to enter (I’m going to do the Rafflecopter thing don’t worry). I just want to win that blender and make snow (And then you can make all kinds of recipes for me too).
Michelle recently posted: Sprinting Playlist
lol. Yeah, I think it’s a bit confusing. Because I don’t have the rafflecopter that you pay for, I can’t do Pinterest right inside of it. So the idea is that you click that you’ve left a comment and then you leave a comment telling me that you’ve followed me on pitnerest. Complicated but oh well. I’m not yet ready to commit to Rafflecotper with money. I don’t do enough giveaways to make it worthwhile.

I know! It is totally the coolest thing ever. I just put some yogurt, arugula leaves, parlsey, shredded cheddar, a garlic clove, salt and pepper in there. Whizzed it and got a nice bright green sauce to put on my pasta for lunch later. I’m going to start experimenting with frozen treats later today. It’s a crazy-awesome machine.
