Campfire Recipes at The Outdoor Cooking Channel
We’re having some friends over for a campfire on Saturday night. I was planning to do our usual simple campfire hotdogs and s’mores. But then that little food-blogger twinge crept up on me.
Food bloggers: Do you know what I’m talking about?
It’s the knowledge that our guests expect something a little bit different. Something delicious. Something homemade. Something FABULOUS!
I waivered about this because I’m in this super-lazy mood these days. Maybe hotdogs and s’mores are fine. And you know what, they probably would have been if I hadn’t started googling for campfire recipes.
Holy ****! Are there ever a lot of great campfire recipes out there! I honestly had no idea.
I made a list of some of the best ones that I’d spotted and posted them over at The Outdoor Cooking Channel. Now I’m beyond excited about the idea. Laziness be damned! The only hard thing that remains is choosing the recipes for our meal.

Wow! What a great set of ideas. I don’t usually cook anything but wieners on teh campfire. I’ll definitely be checking her for more inspiration.
I’m kind of a hotdog on the campfire girl myself. But I’ve been branching out a bit lately. I can’t wait to have more campfires so I can experiment with these recipes, that’s for sure!
Ok, our favourite is a sandwich of sourdough bread, chevre, brie, tomato slices and fresh basil. Yumm, yumm.

Do you make this on the campfire? Grilled in a skillet or wrapped in foil? Or something else? Sounds delicious no matter how you cook it though!
