Wake Up To Some Coffee Blogs!
This morning I feel happy and hopeful. While this might be because of a certain political thingy that I watched last night, it is more likely due to the steaming cup of joe sitting in front of me while I write.
My good mood and my coffee have made me want to share and so I thought I’d tell you about my favorite coffee blogs.
There are A LOT of coffee blogs out there. Whatever your coffee interest, you can find it on a blog. Whether you’re looking to buy a new coffee maker and want some reviews or you’re thinking about doing some home-roasting, everything you need to know about coffee can be found in the blogosphere. It’s actually kind of mind-blowing that blogs give us so much information. It makes me proud to be part of this bloggy community.
Here are some of the best coffee blogs. They’re not the most well-known of the coffee blogs out there but they’re the ones that I’ve returned to again and again for information and great coffee conversation:
Coffee Sage: Tasting it all one cup at a time
This coffee blog has reviews of coffees and coffee makers but what I come back for are the little news tidbits and odd coffee facts. Like yesterday when I was informed that there is a “special” blend of coffee called Black Ivory that involves coffee beans that are pre-digested (yes, this means what you think it means) by elephants.
Baristing: Coffee, Running, Running on Coffee
This coffee blog is written by a barista who runs and is about the life of a barista who runs. Whether you feel inspired because he makes a mean dry soy cappucino (or that he knows what that is!) or because he can run an ultra doesn’t matter. Inspired you will be. And you’ll laugh.
Pure Coffee Blog: One coffee fanatic’s reviews of various coffee and tea establishments and products
This is an informational blog with reviews of both coffee establishments and of coffees and teas that Bill, the blogger, is drinking in his home. While I don’t get to go to the establishments he reviews, reading what he has to say has helped me to appreciate my own local coffee spots in a new way. The coffee reviews, well those are forever a source of good coffee finds that I avidly search for online or in my local shops.
The Coffee Adventures
An average Jane with a serious coffee addiction takes us along on her coffee journeys. She talks about roasting your own beans and, lately, a lot about cold brews (my guess is that this is because, as a Floridian, she has been suffering through the heat of summer and fall like I have. Cold brews sound like just the thing!).
Those are my faves but I’m always looking for more. Please tell me:

I’m going to have to check these out. I have such a deep love affair of coffee and am definately the average ‘Jane’
I don’t follow any coffee blogs (yet) but when I am in unfamiliar territory I am completely reliant on the Beanhunter app to locate top notch indie coffee shops.
Beanhunter app??? I’m off to find out all about it right now! Thanks for the great info!
Love the various coffee blogs out there… I’ll be honest I never knew they existed!

Aren’t they great? It’s amazing how many blogosphere communities there are.
