Epcot Food and Wine Festival Tips
Last year the hubs, J and I went to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. It was a busy Saturday and we found the whole thing hard to figure out and to navigate.
This should have made us decide to never return. But we want to go back. We really do. You see, everyone we know who lives in Central Florida RAVES about this Epcot festival that celebrates international food and wine. RAVES, I say. How could a very popular festival that celebrates food and wine NOT be something we want to go to?
We think we must have done something wrong.
Partly to help me figure out where we went wrong during our visit and partly because my partner in food-talk (Katie of Katie’s Cucina) is one of those people who RAVES about the festival, Katie and I decided to spend an evening chatting all things Epcot Food and Wine.
Suzanne from Kokocooks joined us for the chat. Suzanne also lives in Central Florida. Like Katie she goes to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival several times each year. She has written about the festival and has even made and written about some of the recipes from the festival cookbook. She told us about her favorite parts of the festival and gave some great tips that I think will make our next visit to the festival one to RAVE about.
Here’s the chat!
Note: The Epcot Food and Wine Festival is running from September 28th-November 12th, 2012.
Have you ever been to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival? If so, did you like it? Do you have suggestions for helping me to enjoy it in the future?

Loved our chat last week. I hope we will get to visit Food & Wine together this year!

I hope so too! We should get planning to make sure we fit it in amongst all our globe-trotting! lol
I suggest going durring the middle of the week. its MUCH less croweded and gives you more time to stroll around and less time waiting in lines. NOTE: i would check out which concerts are playing at the American Gardens Theater, that can also add addictional crowds. (especially for Boys II Men, Hansen and Sugar Ray)
Great tips, Heather! Thank you. I am definitely going mid-week this year and not even risking those crazy Saturday crowds. I hadn’t thought about the effect that particular bands could have on the number of people attending though. Thanks for sharing that. I know it will help me enjoy the festival much much more.
