Cook the Story

Something That

Something That

made me smile.

Do you remember how ecstatic you’d get as a child when a friend came to your house for a visit? I’d forgotten how that felt but I have delighted in seeing J’s excitement he knows that company’s coming. And I delighted in reading Momjovi’s adorable play-by-play of her daughter giving her BFF the house tour.

made me frown.

We love going to Chick-Fil-A. It never occurred to me that when I buy fast food at this fun family-friendly place I am actually supporting a cause that I object to. Discovering this made me immediately go and give money to Washington United for Marriage, a group that is helping to gain support for Washington’s upcoming R74 referendum. I hope that my donation counteracts some of what I’ve spent at Chick-Fil-A over the years. Find out what’s going on in Washington here.

made me laugh.

I had no idea – that kind of breaks my heart about Chick-Fil-A!

I know! The worst part is that every time I tell J that he can choose where we go for lunch, he chooses Chik-Fil-A. I’m going to say no from now on but it sucks that I have to. *sigh*
